5 Activities To Do With A Child In Preschool

Posted on

Do you find yourself always stuck at home with your child? Are you and your child both bored of occasionally going to the same park down the street? Or maybe you just want something fun to do today? Here are 5 activities to do with your child to prevent boredom, and to bond with each other.

Drive In

Drive Ins are a suitable, yet entertaining activity for you and your child. Drive Ins are not costly, usually being free or very cheap. They are a great way for you and your child to bond, while watching a good film. Make sure to bring blankets and pillows to keep comfy!

Seeing Friends

Visiting a friends house to have a coffee and watch the kids play is a great activity for both you and your child. Or you could invite a friend from your child's preschool to your home to hang out.  Either way, your child will be occupied and entertained.

Going to The Beach

Bringing your child to the beach can be a lot of fun, especially on a hot day when you can cool off and splash in the water. Make sure to bring some toys for your child to play in the sand, as they will eventually begin to get bored of the water.

Visiting a Play Centre

Visiting a play centre will definitely be a lot of fun for your child. Make sure to monitor your child constantly as they can easily hurt themselves on some of the play equipment. Most play centres have cafès inside of them, or you could bring your own food. Keep in mind your child will be very tired after visiting a play centre, so it isn't ideal to visit anywhere too exhausting afterwards.

Going to a Public Pool

Visiting a public pool with your little one can be so much fun. When your child is swimming they should be wearing a life jacket or floaties, however you should still always be watching them and ideally in the water with them. This can be a great bonding activity for you and your child. You could also invite some friends to come swimming too!

All these activities listed are suitable for young children currently going to preschool, and are very entertaining. If you want a day filled with fun, and to bond with your child, you should definitely try one of these out this week! For more information, contact a local child care center.
